McWong, with its strong technical know-how, rich project design, construction and management experience, facility management expertise, and financial resources, started capital investments into water-related build-operate-own (BOO) and build-operate-transfer (BOT) projects in China in 2008. These BOO/BOT projects include chemical plant wastewater treatment, municipal sewage treatment, industrial water supply and wastewater treatment.
McWong’s BOO wastewater treatment projects and BOT municipal sewage treatment projects not only demonstrate its design, engineering, construction and management capabilities in various water supply and wastewater treatment projects, it also represents McWong’s facility operation management experience and financing capability for all-inclusive turnkey services to meet clients’ budgets and requirements.

Relevant BOO Project | |
Huayi Group’s coal-chemical plant located in the Wuwei Economic Development Zone in Anhui Province is the first-phase startup project. McWong is the BOO investor/builder for this project which includes industrial water supply plant, water recirculating station, water demineralization station, wastewater treatment plant, and water-reuse plant. The entire system was invested, constructed and operated by McWong. Water from the Yangtze River is tapped as the water supply source with water intake at 60000m3/d. This facility has been operating since 2011. | |

Relevant BOT Project | |
The design capability as constructed for the sewage treatment plant in the Wuwei New Town development in Anhui Province is 30000m3/d. This plant was constructed in three phases by McWong as a BOT project. It was an extension of McWong’s continued services from the previous Huayi BOO project. “Anaerobic + Aerobic” process was adopted for this sewage treatment project, and effluent water quality met the requirements of “Level-B” standards on pollutants per Municipal Wastewater Treatment Code (GB 18918-2002). | |
